Amazing dress by the iconic Claire McCardell! This is a rarer Townley label dress from the early 1950s with the distinctive McCardell details like the open brass hook and eye featured in the front and the very long sash that you can wrap around in multiple ways. Has old Lord + Taylor tag on the inside as well and other than its wrinkles, is in excellent condition. The only others like this dress I have seen in museums, it is truly a gem.
