5×6.5 Antique Qashqai Rug

:: Allover repeating shadow boteh design motif featuring germinating plants therein. Unusual and rare saffron gold border and excellent saturation in rich but subdued terra cotta. Colors and shades include: Pale madder root red, navy blue, dusty gold, rich saffron yellow, ivory, rust powder blue and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation and white knots showing through. Secure on one end, areas of tatter and loss to side cord selvage, although rather intact. Opposing end shows tatter. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Qashqai rug made in Persia circa 1895-1910 vintage. Size measures 4’11” x 6’4″.
