3×5 Antique Fragment Northwest Persian Rug

:: Highly unusual allover repeating oversized boteh design motif in staggered rows and alternating directions. Awesome reciprocating pawn inner and outer minor borders. Fantastic coloration and color range throughout. One single inner boteh found in the main field bearing different ground coloration than all others, in addition to a little man in the lower right corner with highly detailed face and body with a belt. Weaver’s signature also present in the upper corner. Colors and shades include: Dark navy, ivory, blush, madder root red, teal, faded mallard green, coffee brown, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to low pile and/or knot heads. Tatter on three sides with hard reduction of a carpet of once longer proportions. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted 0 Northwest Persian rug made in Persia circa 1910’s vintage. Size measures 3’2″ x 5′.
