:: A Sultanabad carpet woven in the late 19th century shows a dense all-over floral arabesque that fills the field with scrolling vines, blossoms and leafy sprays. The composition is framed by a narrow geometric border with repeating small motifs that echoes the floral language of the interior. Warm reds anchor the design while ivory, blue and yellow accents lift the pattern across the surface. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, ivory, navy blue, saffron yellow, jade green, sapphire blue, blush, pink, mallard green, dusty teal, and more. Condition notes: Wear across to foundation and knot heads. Tatter to sides and ends. Light loss to the perimeter. A few localized areas of light blemishes and tinting, commensurate with type and age. Ideally suited as a wall hanging or display piece. Pile has recently been lightly washed and dusted, ready for in home-use!
