8×11 Vintage Distressed Tabriz Carpet

:: A late second quarter of the 20th century Tabriz displays an all-over repeating floral and geometric lattice across the field in a repeating Herati motif, framed by a broad main border with stylized palmettes and medallions and a series of inner guards. The composition is balanced and densely patterned, with the border motifs echoing the fields intricate detailing in a muted, harmonized palette. Colors and shades include: Dusty navy blue, beige, sand, antique ivory, dusty sandalwood, green, sand, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Areas of expert restoration scattered throughout. Scattered white knots visible across the weaving.
