7×9 Antique Caucasian Soumac Carpet

:: Classic Caucasian multi-medallion in oversized format with minor gul medallions and arrowed germinating plants filling the neutral space between each. Wrapped by an interior minor border of a laleh abbasi reciprocating pawn field overlay and continuous zig-zag main border of germinating blossoms in rectilinear format. Outer stripe border filled with reciprocating wave design motif. Excellent abrashes throughout with minor nuances in color fills, especially those in the blue shade. Scattered throughout are woven animals and birds woven. Colors and shades include: Brick red, sapphire blue, saffron yellow, powder blue, antique ivory, cream, jade green, blush, oxidized copper green, and more. Condition notes: Wear across to foundation and knot heads. Tatter to sides and ends. Multiple areas of split prone regions to the ends. One old expert repair to the main border, approximately three inches by three inches. Oxidation to darker shades, especially those in the main border, yielding recess to the foundation. Much of the original macrame fringe intact with some curling to each corner. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
