4.5×7 Vintage Fine Yezd Rug

:: Diamond shaped scalloped center medallion with directional palmette floral cross section atop a covered field in scrolling vinery, blossoms and buds. Main border in similar floral relief to the main interior also bearing cartouches with weaver inscriptions, likely reciting literature in Farsi. Colors and shades include: Unusual purple, sky blue, indigo blue, antique ivory, beige, sand, cochineal red and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Localized hard spots, not ideal for folding. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Yezd rug made in Persia circa 1920’s vintage. Size measures 4’5″ x 6’10”.
