3×6 Antique Caucasian Prayer Rug Runner

:: An unusual prayer design Caucasian carpet with top center mehrab featuring a comb design. Allover covered field in repeating botehs, slightly staggered positioning row-to-row, and alternating direction. Very clearly delineated germinating plant within each boteh in simplistic rendering. Throughout the carpet features randomly alternating color fills, unique artistic merit, and true authentic age. Main border comprised of arrowed design elements showcasing the rainbow of colors used throughout the weaving and also imparting the appearance of implied movement and motion. Outer minor border comprised of reciprocating Laleh Abassi pawn design motif. Colors and shades include: Dusty gold, camel, madder root red, antique ivory, forest green, dusty saffron yellow, dusty aubergine, sky blue, and silver. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with light isolated areas of foundation showing through, mainly to the interior field. Several large holes, as seen in photographs. Tatter to sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
