3×5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Shield-like center medallion with simplistic quatrefoil outwardly bursting primitive interior palmettes atop a covered field of blossoms and corner spandrel overlays reciprocating the contour of the main medallion with germinating plants therein. Colors and shades include: Pomegranate red, dusty saffron yellow, slate blue, silver, ivory, pale aubergine, burgundy red, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Reduction to outer minor border. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1950’s vintage. Size measures 2’10” x 4’9″.
