3×4.5 Vintage Karaja Rug

:: Classic triple center medallion Karaja with opposing medallions in mirrored contour, different from that of the main medallion which features a hook-and-latch rams horn design and partial herati interpretation. Main field filled with tightly compacted pinwheel floral cross-sections, botehs, and more. Colors and shades include: Brick red, dark navy blue, indigo blue, camel, mallard green, blush, light coffee brown, charcoal brown black, dark wine red, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even pile across with light isolated areas of recess to pile. Original side cord selvages intact. Original looped fringe warps intact on one end, tatter and loss to the opposing end. One area of professional mending to the center side border. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Karaja rug made in Persia circa 1940’s vintage. Size measures 3’3″ x 4’5″.
