3.5×4 Antique Turkmen Square Rug

:: Triple column center medallions or guls in the “elephant footprint” design motif. Woven interpretations of floral cross-sections. Multiple minor borders, each of which suggest implied movement and rhythm. Colors and shades include: Fuchsia red, purple, magenta, blush, rust, navy blue, cobalt blue, ivory, and more. Condition notes: Low even pile and/or knot heads across. Tatter to sides, tatter to ends. One patch found in the bottom middle (right side of main image), approximately 1″x6″. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkmen square rug made in Turkmenistan circa 1910’s vintage. Size measures 3’5″ x 3’11”.
