Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Wefting of rug is black cotton and speckles throughout the carpet like peppercorns where the wefts are tied together. One end measures 2’4″ whereas the opposing measures 2’7″ while one side measures 3’10” whereas the opposing measures 4′. This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side.
