12×18 Vintage Mahal Carpet

:: Covered field in ornate floral bouquets with long stemmed vinery in parallel formation reminiscent of a stringed instrument with abrashes throughout. Colors and shades include: Dusty terracotta, copper, navy blue, coffee brown, dusty gold, chestnut, dusty teal, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Numerous areas of restoration, repiling, and mending, with some old signs of touchups isolated to a few small areas. Two or three areas of stronger oxidation and/or fade. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mahal carpet made in Persia circa 1920’s vintage. Size measures 12’3″ x 17’9″.
