10.5×15.5 Antique Kermanshah Carpet

:: Oversized scalloped center medallion with trefoil stylization finished at either end with cartouche finials atop a covered field of scrolling floral design elements and fantastic unique artistic merit within design repetition. At one end, in the center main border, a fantastic woven rendition of an effigy of a soldier herdsman in open hands outfitted with a horn and lantern. Colors and shades include: Cochineal red, dark navy blue, sky blue, powder blue, pale tangerine orange, charcoal, camel, and more. Condition notes: Showing mostly even wear across to foundation and knot heads with two holes, approximately the size of a hockey puck, one on the edge, and the other to the interior border.
