3×5 Vintage Belouch Rug

:: Four elongated cartouche stylized germinating plants enveloped by hook and latch design detailing atop an open field of serpents and guls. Wrapped by a dramatic meandering vine main border. Colors and shades include: Brick red, navy blue, pale aubergine, dark chocolate brown, ivory, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Original goat hair side cord selvages partially intact with tatter. Fully secured and overcast ends. Two or three minor pencil eraser sized holes to the interior, not noticeable. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Belouch rug made in Persia circa 1920’s vintage. Size measures 3’2″ x 5’2″.
