Amazing attention to detail, small-scale, beyond gorgeous seascape depicting Fort Picklecombe near Plymouth, United Kingdom! This fort was commissioned not that many years before this painting was made (maybe around 30 years prior) by Lord Palmerston, then prime minister under Queen Victoria.
