3×15 Vintage Distressed Karaja Rug Runner

:: Single column repeating alternating medallions in hexagonal and squared starburst design elements. Weave is decidedly Heriz / Lanboran, although the design is Karaja. The main field bears human effigies on either side of the main columned medallions within the patterned floral design elements. Colors and shades include: Greige, slate blue, pale coffee brown, bronze, pale powder blue, dark dusty teal, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 2’11” and the opposing 2’9″, within normal margins. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Karaja rug runner made in Persia circa 1940’s vintage. Size measures 2’11” x 14’11”.
