3.5×4 Antique Shahsavan Kilim Rug Fragment

:: Fragmented from a larger carpet with restored end kilim / plain weave. Repeating panels in diamond shape with crab design elements therein. A concentric diamond atop diamond motif with reciprocating halved medallions. Colors and shades include: Tangerine orange, wine red, mallard green, navy blue, indigo blue, jet black, purple brown, mauve, madder root red, pale saffron, beige, blush, and mustard yellow. Condition notes: Interior portion 1920s Turkish Kilim. Large plain woven areas banded horizontally throughout the weaving added/restored within the past two years. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand woven Caucasian Shahsavan Kilim rug fragment made in the Caucasus region circa 1920’s vintage. Size measures 3’5″ x 3’9″.
