:: Utterly unique and super expressive antique Persian Bijar rug circa 1910. This rug features a unique fusion of Persian and European influences: a traditional Persian Bijar field featuring herati design (geometric motifs found in Bijar type carpets of the 19th century). The border, however, has a strong European flare with woven interpretations of foliage and roses. A super unique rug with unique character and charm to brighten up any room with an authentic and sophisticated look. Recently professionally cleaned. Some light color migration of red to ivory although mostly confined to the reverse side, not uncommon of rugs made in this vintage. Such a super stunning rug with so much character. Rug was professionally reduced at some point in time. The carpet shows wear and tatter. Measurements: 3’8″ x 6’10”
