8×11.5 Vintage Heriz Carpet

:: Oversized concentric center medallions with large scale palmettes in sprawling scrolled detail with blossoms and tendrils interconnecting all and even a few hidden serpents in the main field. Brilliant tones and color saturation throughout. Colors and shades include: Blush, navy blue, sky blue, sapphire blue, dusty gold, pale rose, jade green, and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One small stain in the center of the medallion. Polychromatic side cord selvages recently restored. One end measures slightly more narrow than the other at 8′ as opposed to 8’2″, within normal margins for type and age. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Heriz carpet made in Persia circa 1930’s vintage. Size measures 8’2″ x 11’3″.
